the moment of truth. to find out which level we're at in singapore national band competition. begins our last practice in the morning. starts at 9.30am till 11am. as Mr. Eric doesn't wants us to get tired and relax. not to get too tension or nervous. ate our lunch at 11.30am. get changed after that, be ready for the BIG MOMENT this year. after 5 years i'm back competitively now with the ITEBand.
as we board the bus, together with the BRASS Section. i tell you, we're bunch of HAPPY GO LUCKY PEOPLE. we focused on music by singing our parts. happily singing it to lose all our tension and nervous within us. all the way throughout the trip to VCH we sang. reached, kept quiet, talked and comfort some of the members. taking pictures while waiting for our turn. finally we head up to the tuning room. and the MOMENT OF TRUTH have come. we performed our best. played our parts with confidence. i felt WOW when it came to Pilatus:Mountain of Dragons, Bar 151. we came in with BIG IMPACT. did saw a few guys jumped a lil' off their seats as we came in to that bar. like WOW! COOL!
finally we end our performance on stage with two songs and off we went down and out of VCH. once out, we were like "OMG OMG! that was scary and eeerghhh. did our part and we did our best!" we felt happy and comfortable i believe at that moment. heh heh. seriously. i did feel comfortable. hahaha. bus came, BRASSes quickly back up on to the bus and off we went back. we screamed and shout in the bus. heck with everyone. we were like hooligans wanting to fight. anyway, reached school, kept our instruments, help out clean up the band room and off back onto the bus. quickly rushed back to VCH to listen to the rest of the bands to play and for the results.
RESULTS:
as all the bands had finished played on stages, quickly everyone gather in the hall and anxiously waiting for the results to be announced. judges came out and TAADAAA!! 3 bands GOLD. next US! saying our prayers and kept our fingers crossed. they announced, ITE Concert Band, 79.17%, SILVER! we screamed and yelled seriously. we can't believed that we managed to get high SILVER. and its our first time together as ITEBand to enter this competition and managed to get SILVER. impressive players! CONGRATS!
F.Y.I. we only need 0.83% to get what we always dreamed to get. a GOLD!
but seriously, SILVER satisfy everyone in ITEBand. compete with many tough competitors. and we managed to squeeze through passed them to get SILVER with 79.17%. we're band no. 6 i believe in ranking for Open Division. not bad aight people?! hehehe
anyway, wanna say out to my section:

Nabil, good job and well done. great leader who understands what we always want. and what we always don't want. well done seriously. you always have my respect till now. don't worry.
Nurul, it's tough and emotional day for you today. i understand your feelings. i understand how tough you went through with ur braces on every practice. well girl, you had work had and it paid off. we get what we want! YEAH!! You ROCK my smelly toot toot SOCKS lah you!
Jonathan, you've worked hard too. survived throughout the camp. with injuries and always pushing yourself over the limit. better take care of yourself ok. anyway, your hardwork paid off. YEAH!!
My partner who sits beside me, Syahidah. you were so tension today. you were. but hey u managed to overcome all those fear within you. you played well seriously. thanks for covering me all the while during that part. THANKS SYAHIDAH! heh heh..
Diana and MingZhen, don't worry. you girls will never missed this opportunity no more. i promised you that. i still want you to come back as a section. we're great section. i believe the rest too loves you to come back as a section. don't sad sad ok my lovely 2 ladies! heh heh.
Of course to HAFIZ! its your last day performing with us. i know you gonna missed us. and we already missing you liao! been a great friend/ buddy all the while since the first batch we joined. went through many obstacles in band life together. a great guy to mix/hang around with. now that you're gone, no more the guy who used to joke around, hang around with, practice as a BRASS together. everyone misses you HAFIZ. you will always be welcome to come back to join/watch us. heh hehe! yeah!!!
lastly to our ITEBand!
heh heh. not gonna be too emotional on this lah ok. well, it doesn't mean that even if i said that i missed the alumnis, doesn't mean that you guys were not that good. i just missed them. and i'm staying and helping out this band because i believe this band could make it high! see, you guys proof yourself that you guys were that good to get SILVER. we almost get GOLD! yeah. see and get what i mean. hope you guys understand. still love you guys lah. am really really proud of all players in ITEBand. EVERYONE DOES THEIR PART IN THIS. hardwork had paid off. 3 cheers for ITEBand. Hip hip - hoorraaayyy(3x)
